In this glossary of 20 words, you will learn about different words used in education and in training. You will see a list of words with their definition. There will also be some examples to help you to understand them. You will also see a French translation for each word. This glossary can be useful in some different field of study because we all receive an education.

- Any institution at which instruction is given in a particular discipline.
- Example: I started school at five years old.

- noun
- An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
- Example: Winning is not the prime objective in this sport.

- noun
- A mark indicating the quality of a student's work.
- Example: Her grades are up this semester.

- computer
- noun
- An electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program.
- Example: The next morning she was at the computer as soon as he left.

- noun
- Schoolwork that a student is required to do at home.
- Example: Anne sharpened her pencil and got out her homework.

- The pulsation of the heart.

- noun
- A vehicle composed of two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, propelled by pedals and steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel.
- Example: The boy no doubt inherits a capacity for riding a bicycle, otherwise he could never do so.

- An official document issued by a government, certifying the holder's identity and citizenship and entitling them to travel under its protection to and from foreign countries.
