Volunteering Abroad

I never volunteer out of Montreal. However, my sister is studying abroad for one year. She is in Madrid. She learned the advantages and the disadvantages of living by herself. However, she could have taken the advantage and disadvantage of living cost free at our parent’s house. While she is out of Canada, she won’t do any volunteering. In fact, she volunteered two years ago in Costa Rica, and she met other volunteers. She really loved it. She had a lot of fun, and she would like to go back. She loved the hot weather. The research group and her conducted surveys and in-depth interviews with the people of thé country. The experience was invaluable to me. My sister was also highly skeptical about this project. What about you? She decided to relax this time. She wanted to have enough time for her studies. Her purpose for being there is very clear. On the other hand, I personally prefer my dead-end job in Montreal because I receive a premium wage.

OJT

I started my OJT with my colleague when I was 16 years old. I worked in a restaurant. I was an assistant cook. The name of the cook was Thomas. I used to cut vegetables and do some easy tasks for him. However, the name of my trainee was Nancy. She was the other assistant cook. She was very kind to me. The woman said that in long term, the company offer a competitive wage and good benefits. She was very experienced and knew the ins-and-outs of the job. Her natural bias were to respect things as they were. However, she explained the drawback of this job. It is that we had to keep our hair up.

Doing well at school

I don’t have a maddening habit of interrupting other people in class. Sometimes, it can create a thoughtful silence in the class. In fact, it helps me and my classmates to get straight A's in all of our exams. When I was younger, I used to talk a lot in class so a kid pulled off some of my hair. The teacher then told the kind to stop pulling off my hair. One day, my teacher even asked me to get out of the classroom. I felt very sad. All of my friends were laughing about me. When the teacher finally let me back in the class, I could not look up. It was one of the worst feelings ever. Have you ever felt like that? To succeed, I also try not to put aside the comments that the teacher tells me even if sometimes it can make me feel thoroughly emotions. I know that getting upset about it won’t change anything, though I sometimes fail. How do you feel about the feedback of your teacher? On the other hand, when I'm tired, I often move on to something else after a cursory look at the h...

If you have any questions, don’t be shy to write a comment and I will love to answer your questions. Thank you and I hope you will enjoy my blog journey.

About me

Hi, my name is Anouk Piché. I’m 18 years old. I have lived in Montreal since I was born. I have been studying Social Science-Commerce for almost the last 2 years at Ahuntsic College. I’m actually graduating this year. I have to apply to a university by March 1st of 2022. My college program is preparing me for a lot of programs in university in different fields of study. Personally, I’m thinking of going to the University of Montreal to become a physical education teacher. There is almost no competition to get in this program because teaching is extremely in demand in Quebec at the moment. I have always loved sports and I live an active lifestyle, so I would love to share this with other people.
